Morta Kacion is a clarinetist with an impressive musical background. With a master's degree in performing as a soloist( Norwegian Academy of Music, Class of Björn Nyman) she has achieved outstanding skills and knowledge in the field of music.
Former professors include: Annelien Wan Wauwe ( Royal Conservatoire The Hague), Herman Stefansson( Royal College of Music in Stockholm) , Antanas Talocka ( Lithuanian Academy of music and theatre).
Morta exudes fantastic energy and has remarkable technical abilities. She is known for her passionate approach to music and her ability to convey emotions through the clarinet. With technical precision and musical immersion, Morta takes listeners on an unforgettable musical journey.
She has gained several awards, such as the award by the President of the Republic of Lithuania for the most talented young artists (Lithuania), 1st prize together with Trio Cordis at the Chamber Competition of The Norwegian Academy of Music (Norway), 2nd place in the International Medins Competition (Latvia), and 2nd place in the International Competition "Sonorum" (Lithuania). Morta has participated in prestigious competitions, such as the ARD International Competition in Munich, and has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras and ensembles in several European countries.
Morta is an active chamber musician and has performed in several international festivals: Trondheim Chamber Music Festival with Trio Cordis, Ragnhild Hemsing, Isa Chamber Music Summer Academy with teachers such as Hatto Beyerle, Avers Kouyoumdjian, Johannes Meissl, Peter Schuhmayer, Vida Vujic, Ecma masterclass together with Trio Cordis and Tim Frederiksen, Aurora International Summer Music Festival, International Chamber Music Festival "Playing for Gold," International Festival "Sugrizimai," and the International "Pazaislis" Festival together with world-renowned Alexandra Whittingham.
Her master classes include Yehuda Gilad, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Håkan Rosengren, Martin Fröst, Harri Mäkki, Andreas Sunden, Reiner Wehle, Sabine Meyer, Christoffer Sundqvist, Karri Kriikku, Philippe Berrod, and many others.
Morta is also a dedicated educator, equipped with a PPU (Practical Pedagogical Education) that enables her to share her knowledge and passion with future musicians.
